Exclusion guerre et opération cyber, réassurance traité cyber (Exclusion A)
Almost nothing. The most robust of the reinsurance set: it excludes loss arising out of war and/or a cyber operation, with no write-back.
A complete exclusion of war and cyber operation losses at the level of the cyber reinsurance treaty. Materially the same as 5564A on the direct side.
Carries the most restrictive logic of the direct clauses across to the cyber reinsurance treaty (codes RY and RZ). It contains attribution language.
As hard to sell as 5564A: it removes state cyber exposure entirely at treaty level.
Issued 1 March 2024 by the LMA following consultation with the cyber reinsurance working group, alongside bulletin LMA24-011-CM and separate from the other cyber war clauses. Compliant with Lloyd's bulletin Y5381.
