Official text ↗
Covered scope

The same as 5630, with one transitional exception: the paragraph 1 exclusion does not apply to losses arising out of original policies, reinsured hereunder, incepting before 1 April 2024 on a Losses Occurring During basis.

Excluded scope

The same exclusions as 5630, outside the transitional LOD window before 1 April 2024.

Use cases

The LMA suggests keeping it for the first renewal after the Lloyd's requirements bite, to manage the transition on treaties covering earlier policies.

Limitations

A transitional clause with a short life: it stops being useful once the first renewal has passed.

Context

Issued 1 March 2024 (bulletin LMA24-011-CM). It duplicates Exclusion B and adds the transitional LOD cut-off at 1 April 2024.
