Copernicus (Union européenne)
The European Copernicus Climate Change Service, operated on behalf of the European Union. Provides reanalyses, climate indicators and monthly bulletins on global temperature and climate. An open reference source for European and global climate indicators.
Production based on the assimilation of observational data into reanalysis models, complemented by projections. The spatial and temporal consistency of reanalyses is high; they remain a modelled reconstruction rather than a direct measurement at every point.
Use for homogeneous climate indicators at European and global scale and to document temperature anomalies. A free, citable institutional source.
